Job summary

SelectLeaders is partnering with a Chicago-based hospitality-driven property management platform. The Director will design the operating model from the ground up, implement systems, and lead day-to-day operations across a growing multifamily portfolio to maximize NOI and resident experience.

The role demands entrepreneurial leadership, ownership mindset, and ability to translate financial strategies into actionable plans while building teams and scalable processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
• 8–15+ years of multifamily property management leadership experience.
• Experience launching or scaling a property management platform.
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, NOI optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the property management operating model across leasing, maintenance, resident experience, compliance, vendor management, collections, reporting, and turnover.
• Lead day-to-day property management operations across the multifamily portfolio.
• Drive occupancy, collections, resident retention, revenue growth, and NOI performance.
• Oversee maintenance operations, preventive maintenance, and vendor performance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, including fair housing and landlord-tenant laws.
• Recruit, hire, train, and lead property management teams.
• Serve as an operational partner to ownership and executive leadership.
