Department Overview

The Software Enterprise Deployment and Integration team delivers solutions to the public safety sector. We are committed to providing technology and tools that allow customers to focus on their mission and respond faster with smarter and safer decisions. The Director leads the Project Management and Solution Integration team, delivering NextGen 9-1-1 projects, including ALI Location Services, Emergency Call Handling, and next-generation 911 Core Routing solutions, for public safety customers.

Overview:

This leadership role oversees Project Managers responsible for delivering NextGen 9-1-1 Location, Routing, and Call Handling solutions. The role demands staying current on industry developments, understanding the competitive and economic environment, and leading the organization in innovative directions. The Director fosters collaboration, provides clear feedback, and evaluates performance regularly. They are proactive in addressing challenges, making bold decisions, and responding to customer feedback to ensure high-quality service.

Desired Background/Knowledge/Skills:

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience, or 15+ years managing complex deployments in a Public Safety environment.
• Experience with NextGen 9-1-1 Location, Routing, and Call Handling solutions is a strong plus.
• Established relationships within the Public Safety market and participation in industry groups (APCO, NENA, IACP, PMI, etc.) is preferred.
• Contribute to policy decisions regarding NextGen 9-1-1 solutions, processes, and methodologies.
• Experience across the value chain: Opportunity development, Sales, Product, Delivery, Support, Operations.
• Expertise in project management methodologies and their application in diverse environments.
• Ability to influence at all levels and serve as a role model for project management professionals.
• Strong project management skills: prioritization and deadline management.
• Ability to evaluate team performance and skills.
• Understanding organizational resources, priorities, and policies.
• Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with professionals, customers, and third parties.
• Continuous learner and role model for skills development.
• Experience managing through highly matrixed relationships.
• PMP and/or CAPM certification is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain high-level customer relationships.
• Ability to work independently and hold oneself accountable.
• Exceptional negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Deep understanding of products, technology, services, strategy, and business complexities.
• Experience interfacing with senior leadership and governmental bodies.
• Experience managing development costs and revenue-related programs.
• Willingness to travel extensively (50%+).

Salary Range: $145,500 - $272,800 USD. Salary depends on experience and skills.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business discipline and 10+ years of project management and 8+ years of people management experience, or 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely; employer sponsorship is not available.

Travel and Other Details

Over 50% travel required. No relocation provided. Position is for experienced professionals. Referral plan available.
