Job summary

AARP Foundation is seeking a Director of Program Operations to align business operations with SCSEP goals. You will lead strategic initiatives, manage resources, and partner with senior leadership to optimize organizational performance.

The role requires extensive operations, procurement, and project management experience, including leadership of cross-functional teams and process improvements within a large nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in operations, procurement, and project management.
• 5+ years in a leadership role managing cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of project lifecycles and PMO frameworks.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic business objectives.
• Provide data analysis and reporting to senior management.
• Lead strategic projects across the department/organization.
• Oversee implementation of multiple projects and resolve operational challenges.
• Coordinate with VP(s) and executives to plan operational opportunities.
• Develop long-term goals and align division plans with organizational goals.
• Manage development of the reporting team and ensure capability growth.
• Drive digital and operational transformation with technology leaders.
