Job summary

Sam's Club, Bentonville, AR, seeks a Director of Product Development to lead complex Member’s Mark portfolios from strategy to commercialization. You will partner with Merchandising, Sourcing, Quality, and suppliers to deliver differentiated products, accelerate speed to market, and improve quality and value for members.

You will build high-performing teams, shape the innovation pipeline, and influence senior leaders to drive growth and member satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Design, or related field and 5 years’ experience in design, merchandising, marketing, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in design, merchandising, marketing, or related area.
• 1 year’s supervisory experience.
• Masters qualifications and PM/PMI related certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision and product development strategy for a complex Member’s Mark portfolio, aligning member needs, brand strategy, and business priorities.
• Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team while building organizational capabilities and future leaders.
• Influence senior leaders and cross-functional partners to align priorities, navigate tradeoffs, and accelerate decisions.
• Shape a differentiated innovation pipeline informed by member insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
• Drive portfolio performance by balancing quality, innovation, value, cost, and speed to market.
• Champion transformation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the organization.
