About the Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to shape and scale a high-impact business development function focused on private equity at Dayforce. As Director of Private Equity, you’ll be the tip of the spear in engaging PE firms, aligning our HCM solutions with their investment strategies, and accelerating adoption across their portfolio companies. This role sits at the intersection of enterprise SaaS and private equity, blending strategic GTM execution with deep relationship-building across operating partners, value creation teams, and portfolio leadership. You'll work cross-functionally to craft compelling narratives, drive measurable results, and help define the blueprint for how Dayforce partners with the private equity ecosystem.

What You’ll Get to Do

  1. Private Equity Firm Engagement – Establish, manage, and grow relationships with private equity firm stakeholders, including operating partners, value creation teams, and portfolio company executives.
  2. Strategic GTM Execution – Develop tailored go-to-market (GTM) strategies that align with the investment theses of PE firms and drive adoption of Dayforce’s HCM solutions across their portfolio companies.
  3. Pipeline & Deal Acceleration – Identify and execute strategic opportunities to increase PE-led deal volume, accelerating the sales cycle through PE-backed referrals, co-selling efforts, and commercial incentives.
  4. Operational Buildout – Help structure and define the processes, tools, and frameworks needed to scale the PE-focused business development function.
  5. Cross-Functional Leadership – Work closely with sales, marketing, product, and executive leadership to refine messaging, create engagement playbooks, and execute partnership strategies that drive measurable impact.

Skills and Experience We Value

  1. 9+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or strategic sales in enterprise SaaS.
  2. Proven ability to navigate complex sales cycles, work directly with C-suite executives, and influence key decision-makers.
  3. Highly strategic and adaptable, with a track record of building and executing structured but flexible GTM strategies in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  4. Deep experience positioning enterprise software solutions from a commercial and value-driven perspective—experience in HCM, payroll, or workforce management is a plus.
  5. Exceptional executive presence, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management both internally and externally.

What Would Make You Really Stand Out

  1. Strong knowledge of private equity ecosystems, investment priorities, and portfolio value creation strategies is beneficial.
  2. Experience in private equity is a plus —but we welcome candidates with any background in building and scaling high-impact partnership programs.
