Chime Financial, Inc. is seeking a Director, Associate General Counsel to lead the Privacy & Security team. The role collaborates cross-functionally to manage Chime’s privacy program in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including shaping AI governance.

Base salary starts at $264,000 and ranges to $345,000, with bonus, equity, and benefits. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of relevant experience, including in-house, with a track record of leading teams and translating regulatory

• Ability to advise on privacy laws with emphasis on financial privacy.
• Experience building or maintaining privacy and security programs.
• Translate regulatory expectations into actionable guidance.
• Strong communication and drafting skills.
• Comfort with advising senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Advise teams on privacy laws with emphasis on financial privacy.
• Lead privacy program maintenance to meet evolving regulatory expectations.
• Develop and manage privacy impact assessments and privacy by design.
• Advise on privacy aspects of product design with product counsel.
• Develop privacy trainings for general and role-specific needs.
• Support security team with incident reporting guidance as needed.
• Monitor regulatory and industry trends and implement changes.
• Maintain and update privacy and security policies and notices.
