Chime is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to guide the Data team in building a scalable, self-serve data foundation and to democratize data with stronger governance. As Senior Engineering Manager in Data, you will lead efforts to empower data-driven decisions while maintaining high governance standards.

The base salary starts at $230,000 and goes up to $319,000, with a bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Actual base salary may vary by location, skills, and experience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years leading Data Engineering teams.
• Experience building scalable AI-ready data platforms.
• Strong partnerships with Product, Analytics, Data Science, and Marketing.
• Experience driving data quality, governance, CI/CD, and reliability.
• Experience with growth and marketing data platforms, including attribution and funnels.
• Proficiency with Spark, Snowflake, Data Warehouse/Data Lake, and dbt.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI-driven, data-centric initiatives that accelerate growth and improve decision-making.
• Partner with Analytics, Product, Data Science, and stakeholders to deliver trusted data products.
• Mentor and grow high-performing engineering teams with a culture of excellence.
• Establish urgency, set high expectations, and drive operational excellence.
• Collaborate across teams to prioritize work and remove delivery obstacles.
