Job summary

Omada Health is seeking a Director, Privacy Counsel to lead and mature the enterprise privacy program across a complex regulatory landscape. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Clinical, and Commercial teams to design, implement, and continuously improve privacy policies, processes, and controls.

You will drive privacy-by-design for digital health products, oversee incident response, and provide expert guidance on HIPAA, state privacy laws, and AI governance.

Qualifications

• You have a J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission.
• You bring 8+ years of privacy law experience, including in-house healthcare/digital health or life sciences.
• Deep expertise in HIPAA Privacy, Security, and Breach Notification Rules.
• Experience managing end-to-end privacy incident response and breach notifications.
• Proven privacy-by-design experience for digital products and marketing ecosystems.
• Ability to translate regulatory concepts for non-legal audiences.
• Autonomy in Ambiguous regulatory environments with high stakes.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Collaborative, low-ego working style for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mature Omada’s enterprise-wide privacy program.
• Embed privacy requirements into product development and engineering workflows.
• Oversee privacy risk assessments, vendor due diligence, and privacy reviews for deals.
• Provide guidance on consumer privacy laws and AI governance considerations.
• Advise on data interoperability, privacy for interchanges, and ERISA-related privacy issues.
• Deliver privacy training and culture-building initiatives across the company.
