Job Description

The Director, Primary Care Operations will partner with the Chief and other functional areas throughout the system to develop a market-leading primary care enterprise that consistently achieves operational excellence, meets the evolving needs of Atlanta’s children and families, and attracts and aligns with community pediatricians who deliver primary care.

This leader will be responsible for the operational management of the physicians within a practice. Working with the system medical director, the Primary Care Operations director oversees physician staffing, scheduling, performance, and people management for the practice.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years practice leadership experience in a pediatric primary care setting, overseeing multiple providers

• Experience leading multiple pediatric primary care practices

Education

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field

• Ability to build productive relationships with physicians, leadership, and staff

• Strong command of principles associated with financial analysis, physician practice operations, research operations, and healthcare information systems

Job Responsibilities

• Provide operations leadership for Primary Care
• Collaborate with the Chief, Primary Care, Chief, CPG and COO, CPG to ensure efficient delivery of quality patient care to benefit the children and families we serve
• Manage day-to-day operational and business components of the clinical operations including facilitating acquisitions of new practices
• Engage in strategic plan development and implementation of practice(s) strategic plans; ensure optimal operational, financial, customer satisfaction, and clinical outcomes
• Function as a business operations liaison for shared services with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and any primary care offices
• Direct and coach managers to achieve practice and organizational performance goals and outcomes
• Analyze, monitor, and manage operational and financial goals and indicators to drive operational results
• Provide routine updates on operational and financial performance
• Develop and implement performance plans that drive results
