Job summary

Jobot seeks a Director of Electrical Engineering – Power Studies in the Dallas area to lead power systems studies for utilities, industrial, renewables, and data centers. You will set technical direction, ensure high-quality deliverables, mentor engineers, and contribute to client relationships.

Qualifications: PE license; BS in Electrical Engineering (MS preferred); 12+ years in power systems with 5+ in leadership; proficiency with ETAP, SKM, PSCAD, PSS/E, DigSILENT.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required; MS preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 12+ years in power systems engineering with at least 5 years in leadership/management.
• Deep expertise in power system studies and utility/industrial standards (IEEE, ANSI, NEC, NESC, IEC).
• Proficiency with ETAP, SKM, PSCAD, PSS-E, DigSILENT or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and oversight for all power system studies (load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, transient stability, protection/co-ordination, harmonics, grounding).
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of electrical engineers and power systems analysts.
• Oversee project planning, staffing, scheduling and resource utilization; deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Support business development through proposals, technical presentations, and client meetings.
