Job summary

Generate Capital is seeking a Director of Portfolio Finance to lead the financing of its distributed generation portfolio, starting with Community Solar. You will own debt and tax equity structuring, modeling, and post-origination milestones across construction and permanent facilities.

You will collaborate across Investments, Project Delivery, Asset Management, and Finance to improve capital efficiency, returns, and cash generation, while building a scalable function and developing the team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience across structured finance, project finance, portfolio finance, or related fields.
• Hands-on financial modeling across infrastructure assets, tax equity and debt instruments.
• Experience with construction-to-permanent bank debt and related closing mechanics.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end debt financing for Community Solar projects with bank lenders.
• Lead tax equity execution across active funds and ITC monetization.
• Manage portfolio forecasts, cash and GAAP reporting models.
• Diligence data rooms, regulatory filings, and closing execution.
• Develop KPIs and reporting for portfolio performance.
