Job summary

Western Digital seeks a Director of Business Systems – PLM to lead global IT teams, own the PLM platform, and drive an enterprise PLM roadmap across Engineering and Operations. You will ensure secure, scalable PLM solutions with strong governance and data integrity.

You will partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to translate business needs into system capabilities, aligning with ERP, CAD, QMS, and MES integrations. This role demands deep PLM experience and strategic leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
15+ years of enterprise IT experience with 10+ years of direct PLM platform ownership.
Experience delivering large-scale PLM implementations, upgrades, or consolidations.

Responsibilities

Lead global IT teams responsible for PLM product management, application support, and platform administration.
Own the enterprise PLM platform, including system architecture, roadmap, upgrades, and full lifecycle management.
Define and execute a multi-year PLM technology roadmap to strengthen PLM-enabled processes and product data.
Architect and maintain integrations between PLM and ERP, CAD, QMS, MES, and supply chain platforms.
Establish data governance, configuration management, and technical controls to ensure data quality and regulatory compliance.
Define global support models, SLAs, and escalation paths for reliable operations.
Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Product teams to translate business requirements into system capabilities.
Manage system integrators and vendors to ensure delivery quality and value realization.
Own PLM financial management including budget planning and vendor contracts.
