Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Director of Software Development to lead the security and trust services that underpin OCI. You will guide identity, authentication, and service-to-service trust, plus KMS, PKI, and certificates, while steering monitoring, automation, and control-plane efforts.

You will partner with multiple orgs to align roadmaps, drive engineering excellence, and grow leadership across a global cloud platform.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
12+ years of software engineering experience.
5+ years of engineering leadership experience, including experience leading managers and multiple engineering teams.
Demonstrated success building and scaling engineering teams.
Experience operating large-scale distributed cloud services.
Strong systems architecture and operational leadership experience.
Experience with monitoring, automation, observability, infrastructure platforms, or control-plane technologies.
Proven ability to drive execution across complex technical and organizational boundaries.
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Experience with cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow engineering teams supporting OCI security and trust services.
Define and execute technical roadmaps for identity, authentication, authorization, service-to-service trust, KMS, secrets, KES, PKI, and certificates.
Drive the development of monitoring platforms, automation frameworks, control planes, and operational tooling.
Partner with OCI, Security, Architecture, and Product organizations to align priorities, roadmaps, and delivery plans.
Improve operational efficiency through automation, observability, engineering excellence, and cloud service efficiency initiatives.
Develop engineering managers and technical talent across the organization.
Lead organizational planning, resource allocation, hiring, and team growth.
Ensure operational readiness, reliability, scalability, and customer-focused outcomes for security-critical cloud services.
Establish engineering best practices and foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and service ownership.
