Job summary

Pax8 is seeking a Director of Platform Security Engineering to lead strategy, architecture, and execution across our cloud marketplace. This role focuses on embedding security into the development lifecycle, elevating security across engineering, AI initiatives, and product innovation while enabling fast, secure delivery.

You will shape security at scale, drive measurable improvements, and collaborate with security, engineering, and leadership to protect partners and customers.

Qualifications

• Platform, application, or product security leadership in complex technology environments.
• Security practices embedded into modern software delivery and engineering workflows.
• Cloud-native architectures, secure development methodologies, and DevOps models.
• Security tooling across application, infrastructure, and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Establish and execute a comprehensive platform security vision aligned with business objectives.
• Own the security posture of cloud-native platforms, services, data, and infrastructure.
• Integrate security practices throughout software delivery and guide secure design.
• Partner with services and engineering to ensure secure software development.
• Develop security metrics, dashboards, and data-driven risk insights.
• Lead during security incidents and drive proactive risk mitigation.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing security teams.
