Pax8 is seeking a Director of Platform Security Engineering to shape strategy and execution across our cloud marketplace. This remote US role leads a security program spanning platform, data, and services, partnering with engineering and product teams to accelerate secure innovation.

You will build security metrics, guide threat modeling, and mentor high-performing teams while embedding security into every development stage.

Qualifications

• Experience leading platform or product security programs in complex technology environments.
• Experience embedding security into software delivery and engineering workflows.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and DevOps security.
• Proven ability to implement security tooling and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead Security Strategy: define a comprehensive platform security vision aligned with business objectives.
• Strengthen Cloud Platform Security: own security posture of cloud-native platforms, services, data, and infrastructure.
• Embed Security into Engineering: integrate security practices throughout software delivery processes.
• Advance Secure Services Delivery: partner with services and engineering for secure software development.
• Measure and Improve: develop meaningful security metrics and dashboards.
• Respond and Adapt: lead during security incidents and evolving threats.
• Build and Develop High-Performing Teams: recruit and mentor security and engineering professionals.
