Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) required.
• 10+ years in pharmaceutical industry formulation, with 4+ years in management.
• Knowledge of AbbVie Engineering standards.
• Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proven track record managing projects to completion.
• Excellent communication with layers of management.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and collaborate with internal and external partners for technical leadership.
• Direct a diversified cross-functional staff to meet CMC lifecycle goals.
• Develop objectives and strategies for site advancement and cost reduction.
• Prepare cost estimates, plans, timelines and contingency plans.
• Participate in capital planning and project execution to advance manufacturing capabilities.
• Make final decisions on project responsibilities.
• Represent AbbVie during regulatory audits with information.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental guidelines are followed.
• Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to direct reports.
