The Director of the Perioperative Service Line provides strategic, operational, clinical, financial, and administrative leadership for perioperative services across the health system. The Director is responsible for developing and sustaining an integrated perioperative service line that includes Main Campus surgical services, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Endoscopy, Pain Management, Central Sterile Processing, and perioperative business operations.
The Director establishes the infrastructure, standards, and accountability necessary to operate these services as a coordinated system while recognizing the distinct operational and regulatory requirements of the hospital and ambulatory surgery center environments.
Working collaboratively with physician leaders, anesthesia, and other departments, the Director is accountable for safe, high-quality patient care, operational performance, workforce effectiveness, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, physician engagement, and strategic growth of the perioperative service line.
The Director provides leadership through departmental and site-based managers and is responsible for developing a leadership structure that supports appropriate local decision-making while advancing standardization and system integration.
