Job summary

Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights, OH, seeks a Director of the Perioperative Service Line to lead strategic, operational, clinical, and financial aspects across the system.

The role guides Main Campus surgical services, ambulatory centers, and related areas, working with physicians and anesthesia to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance while building a cohesive leadership structure across sites.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of progressive leadership experience in perioperative services.
• Experience overseeing multiple departments, locations, or procedural environments.
• Knowledge of perioperative clinical practice, quality and patient safety, regulatory compliance, operations, workforce management, and financial management.
• Experience with hospital and ambulatory surgery center operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, operational, clinical, financial, and administrative leadership for perioperative services.
• Develop and sustain an integrated perioperative service line across campuses and centers.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and departments to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, workforce effectiveness, and financial stewardship.
• Build leadership structure to support local decision-making and system integration.
