Descripción del empleo

At Sunrise Association, we believe every child deserves the chance to simply be a kid. Since 2006, we've been bringing back the joys of childhood to children with cancer and their siblings through our free summer day camps, year-round programs, and in-hospital activities. All of our programs are provided completely free of charge, giving children the opportunity to make friends, have fun, and experience the joys of childhood while continuing their medical treatment.

We're looking for someone who knows how to build relationships, inspire volunteers, grow fundraising campaigns, and turn great ideas into results.

Our 2026 Long Island SunriseWALKS event raised over $900,000, and we've set an ambitious goal of raising $1 million in 2027. We're looking for someone with the experience, creativity, and drive to help us reach that goal and continue growing our impact.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and grow our Long Island SunriseWALKS campaign and other peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives.
  • Recruit, engage, and support fundraising teams, volunteers, and community leaders.
  • Build relationships with corporate partners, sponsors, and community organizations.
  • Develop creative strategies to increase fundraising revenue, participation, and community engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to plan and execute successful fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Identify new opportunities to expand our reach and build lasting community partnerships.

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of 4 years of fundraising, development, or related nonprofit experience, preferably in peer-to-peer fundraising.
  • Demonstrated success managing fundraising campaigns, meeting revenue goals, and building strong volunteer and community relationships.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Someone who is creative, motivated, collaborative, and results-oriented.
  • A team player who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families.
