Job summary

Bridges Homeward in Cambridge, MA seeks a Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Manager to lead and grow the organization's peer-to-peer fundraising programs, including community campaigns, online challenges, and donor-driven events.

You will recruit volunteers, build relationships with supporters, collaborate with Development, Marketing, and Programs teams, and manage campaign data in the CRM to report results and inform strategy.

The Role

The Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Manager plays a vital role in advancing Bridges Homeward's 152-year mission of building permanent, stable families and empowering every child to thrive. This position leads peer-to-peer (P2P) fundraising initiatives that inspire individuals, volunteers, and community partners to raise funds on behalf of the organization.

The individual will design, implement, and grow Bridges Homeward's peer-to-peer programs-including community-based campaigns, online challenges, and supporter-driven fundraising events while fostering meaningful engagement with donors and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Grow P2P Fundraising Programs: Develop and execute strategies to expand peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives that align with Bridges Homeward's mission and revenue goals. Oversee campaign planning, creative resource development, digital tools, and event logistics.
  • Volunteer and Community Engagement: Recruit, motivate, and support volunteers to champion fundraising efforts within their networks. Build lasting relationships with supporters who represent Bridges Homeward in their communities.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Work closely with Development, Marketing, and Program teams to align messaging, storytelling, and outreach efforts. Partner with community groups, schools, and local businesses to amplify engagement and drive revenue generation.
  • Data and Reporting: Manage participant and campaign data using Bridges Homeward's CRM. Track progress, measure results, and prepare reports for stakeholders.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Identify creative ways to strengthen campaign performance, donor experience, and community awareness. Contribute to the organization's broader fundraising strategy and digital engagement roadmap.
  • Team Support: Work collaboratively with the director of development, marketing and communications manager as well as the program team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrated success managing peer-to-peer or community fundraising initiatives.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience engaging and supporting volunteers, donors, and community advocates.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Creative problem-solver with sound judgment and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor relationship management software.
  • Strong presentation skills for both virtual and in-person settings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, nonprofit management, political science, business administration, communications, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, with at least 2 years focused on peer-to-peer or community-based giving.
  • Proven ability to achieve fundraising goals and drive revenue growth through creative engagement strategies.
Working Conditions
  • Hybrid work environment with occasional travel to events and community meetings (up to 20%).
  • May include some evenings and weekends to support fundraising events and campaigns.
