Job summary

McLaren Health Care seeks an experienced Nursing Manager to lead the department's quality improvement program and oversee clinical activities across units. The role includes performance improvement, orientation, staff development, regulatory compliance, and ensuring high standards of care within the Nursing Code of Ethics and Michigan Public Health Code.

You will supervise workflow, conduct annual performance evaluations, coordinate education, evaluate equipment, and support patient safety

Qualifications

• Must possess current Michigan RN license.
• Minimum 2 years OR experience.
• Minimum 2 years OR management experience.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing or health-related field, or completion within 2 years of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Lead the department’s quality improvement program and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Evaluate and plan departmental/unit activities and ongoing staff education.
• Oversee all patient-related clinical activities in the area of jurisdiction.
• Ensure compliance with Nursing Code of Ethics and Michigan Public Health Code.
• Coordinate orientation programs in respective units and staff development.
• Assure ongoing continuing education and staff competency.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and oversee equipment and supplies purchasing.
