The Director, Search & Social is responsible for leading a portfolio of client digital accounts towards stated client and company objectives and is responsible for the growth, management, retention and satisfaction of these accounts. The Director will be accountable to partner with clients to address measured Media landscape and work with client partners across multiple digital fields to propose and defend media spend across all performance based marketing channels.
The Director, Search & Social will also lead and advise a team of Paid Search & Social Media Managers in this task and be accountable for maintaining accurate program forecasts and hitting stated revenue and sales goals. Shown account management and team leadership experience is crucial, along with deep experience in online marketing and digital media.
Develops, runs, and monitors client P&L’s for assigned accounts
Implement well-rounded media planning
Introduces Process Development Input, Quality Assurance and Best Practices Input
Collaborate with other department leads to share ideas, communicate service offerings, and to identify and deliver new solutions for clients
Keeps senior management apprised of key client opportunities, potential risks and other key nuances which affect the health of the business
Prepares and presents annual financial plans and human resources plans
Develops and cultivate account relationships. Working towards 100% account retention within a defined portfolio of accounts
Develops a complete understanding of each client’s goals, markets, needs and expectations
Works within client relationships to champion initiatives that drive marketing decisions across digital channels
Attends client meetings on ongoing basis, interface as needed with executive level and middle management level on client side during meetings and presentations
Advocates across functional areas within client relationships (e.g. IT professionals, marketing/product managers, C-level executives) to develop rapport and deliver complex solutions
Communicates and implements a Participation Planning Process or all accounts
Independently leads performance and strategy presentations
Solves client problems and uses conflict leadership skills within a professional environment
Handles strategy development and execution for sophisticated marketing analysis fields, such as segmentation, attitudinal/motivational analysis, concept/copy testing, sales forecasting, response prediction, advertising efficiency, consumer profiling, customer profitability analysis (lifetime value), media mix modelling, conversion attribution analysis and ROI measurement
Leverages syndicated digital research (e.g. ComScore, Nielsen, Hitwise) to benchmark trends and/or handle expectations of forecasted trends
Adopts and encourages a culture based on team work, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity
Motivates, leads, and runs internal teams, working collaboratively to drive programs that meet our clients’ business objectives
Drives adoption of stated account management best practices through example setting, positive reinforcement and behavioral correction
Assists in interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring, developing, and evaluating team members
Conducts performance reviews and career path plans for direct reports
Establishes expectations and goals for team on performance marketing thought leadership
Provide cross media planning training for their direct reports
Facilitates the development and documentation of standard methodologies to improve operational efficiencies within the team and the group
Chips in to blog, newsletter, training forums and/or task forces
B.A. or B.S., preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Marketing/Advertising or related field
8+ years of experience working in a Digital Media capacity
Agency experience highly preferred
Knowledge of Digital Media, Marketing/Advertising industries highly preferred
Bachelor’s degree, concentration in business, marketing, or advertising preferred
Agency experience highly preferred
5+ years of experience in online advertising including paid search, display, social, programmatic, mobile, video or affiliate, direct marketing, or e-commerce
5+ years of experience in interactive marketing or business consulting using data and information to drive specific targeting and marketing recommendations
Deep knowledge of ad serving platforms and online analytic solutions
2+ years of demonstrated success in managing and leading people
2- years of digital marketing, search engine, display, programmatic, and / or social marketing preferred

Compensation Range: $119,510 - $188,025 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
