Job summary

Thrivent is seeking a Director of Organizational Effectiveness and Workforce Strategy to translate business strategy into organizational structures, workforce capabilities, and execution plans. You will partner with senior Talent and Culture leaders to diagnose needs, shape solutions, and guide enterprise change.

This role drives governance, portfolio sequencing, and impact measurement across HR and business leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years in organizational effectiveness, design, workforce strategy, or HR transformation.
• 5+ years of leadership including people management.
• Experience with change management methodologies (Prosci ADKAR or Kotter).
• Experience with organization design methods (Galbraith Star Model or 7S).
• Strong consulting, facilitation, and executive-influence skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate business strategy into organizational structures, operating models, governance and accountability.
• Lead work-design and redesign to improve alignment, agility, and performance.
• Forecast future workforce, skill, capacity, and capability needs.
• Drive talent assessment, succession planning, and leadership development.
• Diagnose organizational challenges using data and stakeholder input.
• Prioritize organizational effectiveness work with enterprise stakeholders.
• Collaborate with HR partners to deliver integrated org solutions.
• Define measures of organizational health and impact.
