Director Oracle Database Engineering - Full Time

Location: Jersey City

Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Job Description:

• The Director Oracle Database Engineering team manages the company's cloud databases, focusing on design, build, and operational aspects.
• The role involves leading the database team, developing strategies, designing, implementing, and operating database solutions. Collaboration with infrastructure and application teams is essential to support cloud database adoption and migration from private to public cloud.

Responsibilities:

• Lead engineering and support teams supporting modernization efforts.
• Align with platform and application development modernization plans.
• Enhance and mature Oracle distributed database services, promoting self-service capabilities.
• Participate in audits and regulatory reviews related to cloud databases.
• Lead automation initiatives for cloud databases.
• Provide strong leadership to empower and engage team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred; Master's or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of Oracle database engineering, delivery, and support experience.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and build innovative cultures.
• Technical leadership in cloud database technologies with transparency for business insights.
• Understanding of Oracle technologies in private and public clouds.
• Experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, GitLab.
• Familiarity with SDLC management and Agile methodologies.

Compensation:

Estimated Min Rate: $147,000
Estimated Max Rate: $210,000
