**ADP is hiring a Principal Database Developer in our Parsippany office. This is a hybrid role.**

About the Role

In this role, you will work within a scrum team to design, develop, test, and implement web applications supporting internal and external clients. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions that serve companies with thousands to millions of employees. Your day will include scrum meetings, sprint planning, coding, testing, and participating in release activities.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Java (Java 8 preferred), Spring Boot, JavaScript, Angular, React, web services, RESTful APIs, and open source tools like Apache Kafka.
• Experience with front-end, scripting, and back-end technologies.
• Strong desire to learn new technologies and apply them to product development.
• Leadership experience as a Principal Database Developer, including guiding projects and mentoring junior developers.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in an agile environment.
• 12+ years of relevant experience, with at least 7+ years in a senior development role and 5+ years specifically with Oracle database development.
• Deep knowledge of Oracle databases, performance tuning, PL/SQL, SQL, and experience with Linux (RedHat).
• Experience with DevOps tools such as GIT, Jenkins, Ansible, and automation practices.
• Preferred: Master’s degree, cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP), Oracle certifications, and experience with Oracle Cloud tools.

Responsibilities

2. Debug and resolve critical database issues.
3. Develop applications using SQL, PL/SQL, Shell Scripts, or Python.
4. Propose and research new database technologies to improve client experience.
5. Deploy database changes in production and non-production environments.

7. Mentor team members and promote best practices in coding and testing.
8. Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
