Sayva Solutions, Inc. is partnering with a high-growth manufacturing organization to recruit a Director of Operations Finance in San Diego.

This role leads finance for manufacturing and supply chain, owning COGS, planning, forecasting, and margin improvement initiatives. The director partners with operations leadership, translates manufacturing performance into insights, and drives cost optimization, capacity planning, and investment decisions.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including operations, supply chain, or manufacturing finance.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting a physical manufacturing environment, with high-volume manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of COGS, budgeting, forecasting, annual planning, manufacturing variances, financial modeling, unit economics, labor costs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning and analysis for manufacturing and supply chain operations, including COGS, annual operating plans, budgets, forecasts, and performance reporting.
  • Serve as the primary finance partner to plant, operations, and supply chain leadership, providing financial guidance on key operating decisions.
  • Analyze production economics, including unit costs, labor, manufacturing variances, capacity utilization, scheduling, and plant efficiency.
  • Identify emerging cost pressures and margin opportunities and translate findings into recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Develop financial models and operating insights that support productivity initiatives, changing production volumes, capacity decisions, and business growth.
  • Partner across functions to strengthen manufacturing processes, reporting capabilities, and the financial visibility of supply chain performance.
  • Support the continued modernization of manufacturing and supply chain systems, including MRP, work-in-process, routing, automation, and related initiatives.
  • Help optimize the use of ERP and financial reporting tools to improve data quality, efficiency, and decision-making.
  • Provide financial support for new product initiatives and assess operational readiness, economics, and capacity requirements as the business scales.
  • Present financial performance, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Operations Finance team while evaluating organizational needs and building a proactive, solutions-focused finance function.

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a high-growth manufacturing organization seeking a Director of Operations Finance to lead finance for its manufacturing and supply chain operations in San Diego. This highly visible role will serve as a senior finance partner to operations and supply chain leadership, with ownership of manufacturing financial performance, COGS, planning, forecasting, and margin improvement initiatives. The Director will serve as a key financial leader for operations, translating manufacturing performance into actionable business insights and partnering with senior leadership on cost optimization, capacity, productivity, and investment decisions. This individual will also play an important role in improving the organization’s manufacturing systems, processes, and reporting capabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operations finance leader who enjoys being close to the business and wants significant executive exposure in a fast-paced, growing organization. Salary Range: $180,000 – $220,000, plus additional compensation Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience supporting a physical manufacturing environment, with high-volume manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of COGS, budgeting, forecasting, annual planning, manufacturing variances, financial modeling, unit economics, labor costs
