Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Director of Operations for a leader in the Energy & Utilities space. This remote role oversees operational execution across major power delivery projects, shaping planning, while driving productivity, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

The position partners with senior leadership, managers, and client stakeholders to coordinate work across multiple service territories on a hands-on basis. Travel up to 50% is possible.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of operational management experience in the power delivery industry, with a focus on major projects.
• 5+ years of experience managing employees.
• Proven knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment in transmission, distribution, and substation work.
• Strong problem-solving, team-building, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in long- and short-range planning and policy development with the VP of Operations.
• Develop and lead project plans to satisfy customer needs.
• Achieve production goals through effective leadership.
• Interface with clients to meet operational objectives.
• Direct department managers toward achieving established goals.
• Act as a liaison between various management levels.
• Recommend and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Lead teams across operating units on major projects.
• Develop new client relationships and lead major projects focused on technical requirements.
• Coordinate and initiate significant projects.
• Adhere to internal procedures and standards.

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Operations to join the team of a leader in the Energy & Utilities space.

The role will partner closely with senior leadership, department managers, and client stakeholders to coordinate work across multiple service territories. It is well suited for a hands-on operations leader who can guide teams, influence results, and support strategic growth in a highly technical environment.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $200,000 – $250,000 annually
