Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking an Operations Director to lead multiple distribution centers, each serving distinct clients with unique requirements. You will cultivate client relationships, acting as an extension of their business and maintaining high performance standards across the network.

You will oversee on-site leadership across facilities, travel ~50% of weeks, and contribute to strategic growth with a strong emphasis on development, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, required.
• MBA or equivalent, preferred.
• 7+ years of experience within supply chain, required.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in at least one of the following: strategy development and implementation, operations management, or organization design and implementation, required.
• Experience as a management consultant or in a strategic role within a supply chain function, preferred.

Job description

This role is designed as an East Coast-based leadership position with primary oversight of operations in Atlanta, GA; Columbus, OH; and the future Lehigh Valley, PA operation scheduled to launch in 2027. Candidates residing in or willing to relocate to one of these key markets are strongly preferred to support business partnership, leadership visibility, and operational effectiveness.

Given the multi-site nature of the role, the Operations Director will be expected to maintain a significant on-site presence across the network. Regular travel is required and is anticipated to occur during approximately 50% of workweeks, with flexibility to support business needs, startup activities, talent initiatives, operational reviews, and leadership development efforts across all assigned locations.

This position requires a highly engaged, hands-on leader who thrives in dynamic distribution and fulfillment environments and can effectively influence and support site leadership teams across multiple facilities and regions.

The Director of Operations has a national salary range of $150,000 - $200,000.
