Job summary

Alignment Health in the United States is seeking a Director, Process Improvement & Operational Excellence to lead cross‑functional initiatives that boost efficiency, quality, and scalability across the organization.

You will partner with senior leaders to redesign operating models, implement Lean and Six Sigma programs, develop performance dashboards, and mentor a high‑performing team delivering measurable business outcomes in a Medicare Advantage environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership experience in provider operations, network management, healthcare operations, or related functions.
• Minimum 5 years leading large-scale cross-functional transformation initiatives in a healthcare environment.
• Experience developing business cases, transformation roadmaps, and executive-level presentations.
• Experience implementing Lean, SixSigma, Agile, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong experience developing KPIs, dashboards, and performance management systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare delivery models, provider performance management, and value-based care principles.

Responsibilities

• Identify operational inefficiencies, performance gaps, and workflow bottlenecks across the organization.
• Lead current-state and future-state process redesign efforts to improve efficiency, quality, scalability, and service performance.
• Implement process improvements that reduce complexity and enhance member and provider experiences.
• Establish standards and best practices across supported business areas.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to support strategic objectives and operational transformation.
• Develop implementation plans and drive execution of transformation initiatives.
• Support organizational adoption of new processes and operating models.
• Establish performance measures and dashboards to track initiative progress and outcomes.
