Job summary

Northwest Hospital, part of LifeBridge Health, seeks a senior leader to develop, manage and implement the organization's improvement strategy. You will promote a culture of continuous improvement through Lean education, training and coaching, and ensure effective operation of the Lean department.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in operational excellence/performance improvement.
• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred in Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• PMP and Lean Six Sigma certifications strongly preferred.

Summary:
Responsible for facilitating the development, management, and implementation of the organization's improvement strategy in partnership with the leadership team to achieve performance excellence. Promotes a culture of continuous improvement through Lean education, training and coaching.

• Ensures the effective operation of the Lean department/program.
• Designs and monitors internal metrics/controls to identify improvement opportunities and measure success.
• Prioritizes, directs, and facilitates hospital activities and education to ensure success in utilization of Lean techniques.
• Develops, manages, and supports a portfolio of strategic projects using the performance improvement model, tools, data analysis, reliability, sustainability and spread.
• Provides regular feedback and recommendations to leaders regarding application of LMS models and methodologies, in support of effective utilization and positive outcomes.
• May oversee sustainability reviews, leading to the development of action plans to ensure established use and reinforcement of continuous improvement methods and tools.
• Leads the strategic planning process for the Lean program and participates in organizational planning initiatives.
• Designs and delivers presentations to senior leadership on the results of analysis work undertaken and the status of transformation initiatives.
• Keeps abreast of external "best practices" with regards to cultural transformation and continuous improvement.
• Develops and implements measurement systems to track effectiveness of business process improvement initiatives, return on investment, value-add and presents findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Fosters effective interdepartmental coordination between departments and other members of the Executive Management Team.
• Oversees the planning and execution of Lean Management System (LMS) transformation initiatives that promote continuous improvement, increase operating model consistency, and engage & empower employees to enhance the value of service provided to customers.
• Mentors performance improvement teams and develops performance improvement capacity across the organization.
• Provides high quality project management and analysis for a broad array of clinical and operational issues.
• Provides leadership, coaching, facilitation and monitoring of Lean activities and roadmap.
• Acts as a visible champion for Lean principles and practices while establishing and cultivating an environment that encourages problem solving, critical thinking, and innovation.

Experience:

• 5-7 years of relevant experience in operational excellence/performance improvement
• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred. Education field in Engineering, Business Administration or a closely related specialization
• PMP and Lean Six Sigma certifications strongly preferred

Pay Range: $53.12 to $84.99 (based on experience)
