Job summary

The Greater Holyoke YMCA is seeking a Senior Program Director, Youth Services to oversee Preschool Early Education and Care, School Age Child Care, Summer Camp, and Teen programs. You will design best practices and ensure positive youth development across youth services.

You will partner with the CEO and senior leaders to drive strategic plans, manage budgets, and foster collaborations with schools and community partners while advancing program quality and family engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, social services, recreation, business, or a related field.
• YMCA Multi-Team Leader certification, or progress towards certification within 1 year.
• Five or more years of program management experience, preferably in a YMCA or nonprofit.
• Experience in strategic planning, budget management, staff supervision, and grants.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders and communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for Youth Services, aligning with the Y's plan.
• Develop and manage annual budgets; oversee billing and fiscal controls.
• Collaborate with CEO and senior leaders on strategy, policy, and resource allocation.
• Develop operating plans to promote program and membership growth and quality.
• Engage families and communicate with parents, guardians, and partners.
• Oversee recruitment, training, supervision, and performance evaluation of staff and volunteers.
• Ensure compliance with state/local regs, licensing, and safety standards.
• Lead grant and contract activities, including narrative development and reporting.
