Job summary

FHI 360’s Institute for Work & Learning seeks a Workforce Program Director to lead a multi-million-dollar portfolio of workforce development projects. The role oversees program operations, ensures compliance with policies, and supports business development and growth.

The position reports to the Portfolio Director and manages staff and budgets across diverse federal and private funders. The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of project management and leadership experience, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or international equivalent in a related field.
• 15+ years of relevant project management experience with department-level leadership.
• Demonstrated experience in securing and implementing US workforce development projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership across workforce development projects, ensuring quality deliverables, budget adherence, and compliance with policies.
• Lead business development efforts and new project design to grow the portfolio and funding base.
• Supervise a team of 10–15 staff and foster a culture of learning and accountability.

Skills

PMP certification preferred
