Qualifications

• At least five years of progressive leadership experience in workforce development.
• Strong knowledge of employment readiness, training, placement, and retention; familiarity with WIOA, MassHire, career centers.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and driving measurable outcomes in complex direct-service environments.
• Experience working with people facing homelessness or barriers to employment, integrating supportive services.
• Experience with budget management, public contracts, funders, data, and performance measurement.
• Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the department’s Workforce Development strategy across MAP and Employment Services, aligning programs around shared goals and ensuring coordination and accountability.
• Coach and develop a multi-disciplinary team, including Managers and program staff.
• Oversee a $1.4 million budget funded by federal, state, city, and philanthropic sources; ensure compliance, reporting, renewals, and quality assurance.
• Serve as a member of SFH's leadership team, contributing to planning and decision-making.
• Establish performance goals and measures for employment outcomes and program quality; use data to drive improvement.
• Build and sustain strategic relationships with training providers, recovery and housing nonprofits, funders, and community partners.
