Job summary

African Bridge Network is seeking a Director of Programs to guide strategic and operational leadership for workforce development initiatives across healthcare, clean energy, financial services, and life sciences sectors in Massachusetts.

The role oversees a growing program portfolio, supervises up to six staff, and builds partnerships with employers, colleges, government agencies, and community organizations to scale impact and ensure financial stewardship.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of progressively responsible experience leading workforce development, nonprofit, education, or career pathway programs.
• Demonstrated success designing, implementing, evaluating, and improving workforce programs with measurable outcomes.
• Experience developing strategic partnerships with employers, educational institutions, workforce boards, and community organizations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for ABN’s workforce development programs from design through implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
• Translate organizational priorities into annual program plans, measurable goals, and implementation timelines.
• Build and lead a high-performing program team with roles across Programs, Operations, Development, Finance, and Communications.
• Strengthen employer and community partnerships to improve participant outcomes and expand career opportunities.
• Develop organization-wide systems for program measurement, data collection, and financial stewardship.
