Job summary

VOAMASS, Kentucky-based nonprofit, seeks a Program Director for Workforce Development to lead and expand our employment readiness, education, and training initiatives. You will supervise staff, manage grants, ensure compliance, and measure outcomes to strengthen workforce pathways.

You'll collaborate with VOAMASS leadership, partners, and educational entities to provide clients with meaningful employment and skills, while maintaining documentation and reporting to funders.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in a related human services field is preferred but not required.
• Experience with staff supervision, budget and fiscal management, contract monitoring and audits, and reporting to funders and regulatory agencies is required.
• Candidates should have at least two years of relevant experience in supportive services, outreach, or similar roles.
• Ability to obtain clearance to enter correctional facilities and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workforce staff operate in compliance with licensing and funding agency rules.
• Integrate workforce services into existing programs and establish referral pathways.
• Develop and oversee employment readiness, skills development, education, training, and career advancement opportunities.
• Develop employer partnerships for internships, job placements, and pathways.
• Complete reports, records, and documentation for VOAMASS and program office.
• Provide supervision and lead staff meetings and trainings.
