Job summary

The Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA) seeks a Director of Planning and Resources to provide executive leadership for long-range water and wastewater facility planning, environmental compliance, and lab operations. This role requires a strong background in civil/environmental engineering, water resources management, and at least ten years in planning with five years in management.

A master’s degree is highly desirable, and a CA PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a four-year college degree in planning, civil or environmental engineering, hydrology, or closely related field.
• A Master’s degree is highly desirable, especially an MBA.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in California is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Planning and Resources Department.
• Direct long-range water and wastewater facility planning initiatives.
• Ensure environmental compliance and pretreatment/source control programs.
• Oversee the water quality laboratory operations and regulatory reporting.
