Job summary

Carolina Performing Arts at UNC Chapel Hill seeks an Associate Director of Venues and Events to lead facility management, venue sales and rental administration, and event operations across CPA venues. You will oversee Front of House, Box Office staff, and ensure successful delivery of rentals and programs.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the role develops strategies to improve efficiency, drive revenue, and coordinate with Technical/Production teams for seamless events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience.
• Sustained multi-facility event management experience.
• Proficiency in ArtsVision (or similar scheduling software).
• Experience supervising full-time employees.
• Familiarity engaging local government or similar entities in planning event execution.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Large-scale multi-location event operations planning and execution experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility management and venue rental administration across CPA venues.
• Oversee event operations, Front of House, and Box Office staffing.
• Develop strategies to improve operational effectiveness and revenue.
• Coordinate with Technical and Production teams for rentals.
• Prepare rental estimates and manage scheduling.
