Job summary

Merkle is seeking a Director of Value Consulting to quantify business impact of strategic investments and translate numbers into actionable recommendations for executives. You will build financial models (P&L, ROI, budgeting) and measure whether changes land, partnering with FP&A, data analysts, and other teams to articulate value and drive revenue.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategy/consulting, or digital transformation.
• 5+ years of experience creating financial models, analyzing data, and working with large datasets in Excel or similar tools.
• Experience translating insights into relevant recommendations and presentations — proficiency in PowerPoint required.
• Comfortable operating in a matrixed organization with a wide degree of latitude.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity where defining what to measure is part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Build measurement frameworks that connect program adoption to outcomes.
• Quantify the financial impact of delayed or unresolved initiatives.
• Lead deliverables related to Business Value projection and transformation engagements.
• Plan and facilitate client discovery through interviews, reviews, surveys, or data analysis.
• Manage daily consulting delivery, including meetings, workshops, and reviews.
• Support governance and reporting with clear financial narrative and value tracking.
• Plan and manage prioritization workshops to select top recommendations.
• Build comprehensive financial models from scratch in Excel to quantify impact and ROI.
• Use market research to inform recommendations.
• Develop executive-level presentations and summarize findings for client recommendations.
• Identify data points and measurements to show impact of our approach.
