Target is seeking a Director of UX for the Acquisition & Support Team in New Jersey. You will lead a ~15-person design leadership group shaping core e-commerce experiences such as cart, checkout, fulfillment, and returns.

You will collaborate with UX, Product, Tech, and Commercial partners to set design direction, mentor leaders, and communicate data-driven narratives. This role operates in a hybrid/remote model within a global organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of UX/digital product design experience.
• Strong foundation in digital retail experiences.
• Minimum 4 years of people-management experience.
• Experience leading teams of 15+ and working in large, matrixed, multinational organizations.
• Excellent research-based communication: storytelling, data analysis, and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of approximately 15 designers and design managers on core e-commerce experiences: cart, checkout, fulfillment, order publishing, returns, and operational communications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (UX, Product, Tech, Commercial) to set design direction and strategy.
• Ensure teams have the resources, processes, and culture needed to deliver high-quality, timely work.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior leaders across the organization.
• Coach, mentor, and guide individual contributors and future leaders; foster growth, trust, and engagement.
• Develop and communicate design stories and data-driven arguments to partners.
• Navigate the realities of remote, global, matrixed organizations.
