Job summary

Target in Tallahassee seeks a Director, Product Design to lead a team of about 15 designers and managers for ecommerce experiences such as cart, checkout, and fulfillment. You will collaborate with stakeholders to set strategy, establish processes, and maintain high design standards across a global organization.

You will mentor leaders, communicate data-driven rationales, and drive cross-functional alignment while supporting remote and on-site collaboration in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in UX/digital product design with a strong foundation in design craft.
• Proven ability to lead 15+ designers and design managers, on-site and remotely.
• Experience in large, multinational organizations with matrixed structures.
• Strong communication of data-driven design rationale to executives.
• Ability to balance short-term and long-term priorities while elevating teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of approximately 15 designers and design managers for ecommerce experiences.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to set design strategy, priorities and deliverables.
• Establish design processes, insights and quality standards for projects.
• Partner with UX, product, technology and enterprise teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Advocate for design initiatives and present trade-offs to leadership.
• Mentor and develop people leaders and individual contributors.
• Build relationships across senior leadership to drive impact.
