Job summary

RGA Re is seeking a senior underwriting leader to manage a team underwriting large, complex life and disability cases. You will act as a primary client contact and collaborate with Business Development, Pricing and Claims to ensure profitable cases.

The role requires extensive underwriting experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills, with responsibilities across strategy, execution, and client interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Math, Finance or Business or related field.
• 8+ years of reinsurance underwriting experience OR 15+ years of direct/broker underwriting experience.
• 5+ years of marketing experience.
• Intermediate Word, SQL/Query and Excel skills.
• Highly advanced oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites risks for group life and disability with high approval authority.
• Leads and develops a team of underwriters and value-added service consultants.
• Serves as lead client contact for a regional business development area.
