Job summary

RGA is seeking a senior Underwriter to lead and shape underwriting standards for US operations, working with the Chief Underwriter and VP to manage large facultative cases and client relationships while aligning with corporate strategy.

You will be a key member of the US Facultative leadership, mentoring underwriters and driving underwriting excellence across the division in line with RGA Re philosophy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of related underwriting experience
• 15+ years of reinsurance or direct underwriting experience
• AC S, ALU, FLMI, FALU, or CLU accreditation preferred
• Proficient in Word, SQL/Query and Excel
• Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Ability to comprehend and interpret insurance and contract documents
• Experience leading and mentoring underwriters in large case reviews

Responsibilities

• Lead development and compliance of underwriting standards and policies for US operations
• Underwrite large risk facultative cases and manage client relationships for profitable outcomes
• Mentor underwriters and lead the Large Case Unit (LCU)
• Represent RGA Re at industry meetings and engage with customers and partners
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment and provide strategic direction
