Qualifications

• Master's degree and four years of experience in student affairs, student services, counseling, professional academic advising, or related experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of student development and counseling theory.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Strategic planning and communication for RCOB advising and retention; defines priorities and communicates them to staff and faculty.
• Performance planning and management; designs metrics and monitors progress toward goals.
• Identify and implement best practices in undergraduate advising and retention; manage staff and change processes.
• Lead talent development and supervision of advising staff; foster a positive work culture.
• Develop and enforce policies to promote student success and ensure compliance with UNT policies.
