Job summary

The Missouri Department of Mental Health's Division of Developmental Disabilities seeks a dynamic, results-driven leader to serve as Treatment Director for Southeast Missouri Residential Services. This top-level management role oversees 24-hour residential habilitation and crisis services, guiding a multidisciplinary team to enhance quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work or related human services field.
• 5 years of professional experience in mental health, education, social services or related area.
• 2-5 years of supervising experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in directing and coordinating facility operations and services including developing, implementing, and applying facility policies and procedures.
• Provide administrative oversight of residential, habilitation, behavioral crisis, and support services to include monitoring daily operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant practices.
• Provide leadership, direction, and support to department managers, supervisors, and facility personnel.
• Promote accountability, professional conduct, teamwork, and respectful and effective communication.
• Ensure appropriate staffing ratios; recruit, mentor, and develop employees; promote a positive, accountable workplace culture that results in retention of team members and workplace satisfaction.
• Guarantee compliance with all Federal, State and DMH regulations, as well as ICF/IID standards. Participate in external survey audits and develop plans of correction to ensure optimal client supports.
• Lead initiatives for policy revision, program improvement, and system efficiencies. Ability to initiate a solid Plan of Action to include completion and monitoring needs.
• Promote utilization of technology, including electronic healthcare record (EHR) system.
• Serve as primary designee for the Superintendent when unavailable.
• Provide administrative support during after-hours emergencies.
