Job summary

The Cook County Government seeks an experienced Training & Development Director to lead the strategy, operations, and staff responsible for training and professional development within the county.

This role collaborates with senior leaders to assess department and county-wide training needs, advances diversity and inclusion initiatives, and oversees budgeting and resource allocation for training programs, staffing, equipment and facilities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of curriculum design, instruction for individuals and groups.
• Ability to coordinate and supervise staff and work with stakeholders to formulate training agendas.
• Ability to lead organizational development initiatives and change management.

Responsibilities

• Oversees strategies for designing, implementing, and evaluating training and leadership development.
• Creates policies, processes, and systems to drive talent management and development across bureaus.
• Collaborates with senior leadership to recommend programs for workforce development and communicates training info to managers.
