Job summary

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Director of Compensation and Benefits to design, implement, and administer total rewards programs, reporting to the VP of HR.

You will manage base/variable pay, health and retirement plans, and ensure regulatory compliance while attracting and retaining top talent. Lead market pricing, equity analyses, and annual enrollment efforts, collaborating with benefits brokers, carriers, and HRIS teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
• 8–10 years in compensation and benefits administration/design; association/non-profit or corporate experience desirable.
• CCP/CEBS or SHRM-CP/SCP certification preferred; strong knowledge of federal/state laws.

Responsibilities

• Design, direct, and administer all compensation programs including base and incentives.
• Manage benefits programs: health, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), FSAs.
• Lead market pricing, job evaluation, and equity analyses for internal and external competitiveness.
• Oversee enrollment, vendor relations, renewals, and compliance across programs.
• Coordinate Open Enrollment and compensation review processes with leadership training.
