Position Overview

Are you an experienced Physical Therapist with leadership experience looking for your next career opportunity? We’re seeking a dedicated Director of Therapy & Rehabilitation Services to oversee the daily operations, clinical performance, and strategic direction of rehabilitation services.

This leadership position offers the opportunity to manage a mix of inpatient and outpatient therapy services while supporting staff development, quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations and clinical performance of therapy and rehabilitation services.
• Provide supervision, leadership, and support to PT and PTA staff.
• Conduct and support physical therapy evaluations.
• Manage therapy programs across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Ensure high-quality patient care and positive clinical outcomes.
• Develop and implement treatment programs in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal healthcare regulations.
• Support staff education, development, and performance management.
• Monitor departmental operations and promote efficiency.
• Participate in budgeting and resource management.
• Provide patient education and support effective communication across the care team.
• Adapt to a mixed inpatient and outpatient caseload as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Arkansas Physical Therapist (PT) license required.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2-5 years of management experience in a therapy setting preferred.
• Strong communication and patient education skills.
• Ability to work independently within a smaller team environment.
• Familiarity with EMR and clinical documentation systems.
• Strong time-management and adaptability skills.
• Experience working across both inpatient and outpatient settings preferred.
• Rural or critical access hospital experience preferred.
• NPI number required.
• Experience with Trubridge/CPSI EMR strongly preferred.
• Setting: Mix of inpatient (swing bed) and outpatient therapy services
• Salary: $115,000-135,000 per year, based on experience
