Rubisco Advisory has been retained by a tier-one global engineering, consulting, and project delivery firm undergoing substantial, sustained expansion across North America to recruit a Director of Technical/Process to lead discipline capabilities across the region.

Our client has built an international reputation for progressive engineering, agile thinking, and challenging legacy flowsheet assumptions. This leadership mandate is aimed at a mineral processing expert who couples technical depth with genuine commercial acumen and innovation, someone who understands how metallurgical trade-offs dictate CapEx, OpEx, and overall project value.

Leading a growing regional group of process engineers and technical specialists, you will serve as the principal technical authority across complex feasibility programmes and targeted execution interventions.

Key Strategic Mandates

• Champion robust, cost-effective flowsheet development across comminution, flotation, hydrometallurgy, and concentrator design.
• Steer process stage gates, ensuring rigorous technical auditing, CapEx/OpEx optimisation, and QP-level compliance under NI 43-101, JORC, and S-K 1300 standards.
• Mentor and expand a high-performing regional discipline team across multiple offices, collaborating closely with global technical leadership.
• Act as the trusted technical advisor to mining executives and investors, articulating complex process concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Your Background

• Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or Mineral Processing; 15+ years of progressive engineering leadership within mining and minerals.
• Deep expertise spanning base and precious metals (copper, gold); exposure to critical minerals, lithium, or downstream processing is an advantage.
• Proven track record leading process discipline teams within consulting engineering or corporate owner teams across testwork, PFS, FS, and FEED phases.
• An entrepreneurial, collaborative approach with the ability to operate effectively in an agile, high-growth environment.
