Job summary

Hims & Hers is scaling a multi-site sterile and nonsterile manufacturing network spanning 503A compounding pharmacies, a 503B outsourcing facility, and a peptide API site. The Director, Technical Services is a cross-site leadership role responsible for technology transfer, cleaning validation, process validation, and hands-on troubleshooting to keep manufacturing running reliably.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in pharma manufacturing or sterile/nonsterile operations.
• Expertise across at least two: 503A/503B, sterile injectable manufacturing, or API/peptide manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800> and FDA Process Validation guidance.
• Strong root-cause investigation and CAPA experience for continuous improvement.
• Experience managing or developing managers in a multi-site organization.

Responsibilities

• Technology Transfer: lead transfers into multiple manufacturing sites and ensure validated controls.
• Cleaning Validation: own programs, develop methods, and oversee validation reports.
• Process Validation: lead validation activities for sterile/nonsterile and peptide API manufacturing.
• Process Troubleshooting & Improvement: diagnose deviations, lead CAPA closures and improvements.
• Equipment Troubleshooting: provide hands-on support and partner with engineering/maintenance.
• Site Program Oversight: set standards for IOQ/PQ and cross-site coordination.
• Team Leadership: manage site Technical Services Managers and drive talent development.
• Regulatory Inspection Participation: support FDA/state inspections with technical documentation.
