Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an experienced engineer-educator to build and lead a technical instruction function. You will teach engineers in live settings, mentor instructors, and establish scalable processes for training across teams.

You will own the program, set readiness criteria, and certify others to teach. You will lead sessions personally, supervise a bench of instructors, and drive continuous improvement of curriculum and delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience across software engineering, solutions engineering, developer advocacy, technical education, or related technical roles.
• 4+ years of hands-on technical instruction in live settings with varying audience sizes.
• Production engineering experience with writing and shipping production code.
• Recent hands-on AI development using LLM APIs or similar technologies.
• Experience leading instructors and building training programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on technical instruction across onboarding and residency programs.
• Hire, onboard, manage, and develop technical instructors.
• Define quality standards for technical instruction and certify instructors.
• Design train-the-trainer programs and certify instructors across regions.
• Collaborate to transform technical content into effective live sessions and labs.
• Measure learner outcomes and improve instruction based on data.
• Occasionally teach directly and mentor other instructors.
